About

Luiza Cruz-Flade is an Executive Producer with a passion for design and animation currently working between London and Berlin with Woodblock.

Luiza has led and won jobs in a New Business capacity but has also previously produced and delivered a variety of projects. Luiza has the experience of being on both sides of the production table: pitching and delivering global projects.

Luiza studied graphic design at Ravensbourne and is one of those lucky souls to have worked in creative, strategic and production based roles within established agencies across digital (Deepend), design + branding (English & Pockett), advertising (AMV BBDO), post-production (The Mill) and production company (Passion Pictures).

As Design Director, Luiza has led teams creatively and strategically for high-profile clients such as BBC, Discovery Networks, Disney Channel and VUE Cinemas. She has directed many award-winning title sequences and promos across live action, design and animation. Her work has been showcased at various global film festivals including Onedotzero & London Short Film Festival and she has spoken at numerous design colleges.

Luiza was Head of Post-Production at AMV BBDO. She established the LAB into a reputable department of 23 staff. Within 2 years Luiza turned it into a creative and important revenue stream for the Agency.

In 2014, she joined world class post-production facility The Mill as a Producer and worked on a range of projects for UK and International clients such as Samsung, BBC, Google and OFFF.

In 2017, Luiza joined award winning Passion Animation Studios working on delivering pitches that went on to win multiple awards for international brands such as Erste, JD.com, Wagamama, SK-II and Snapple. While at Passion, Luiza has set up a Design Roster of directorial talent.

Her experience as a creative practitioner has been invaluable in her role within production.
Luiza understands what is needed for creative talent to thrive to achieve the best output possible and she continues to design and direct personal projects under the Social-Début collective she set up in 2014.

Luiza is fluent in English & Portuguese and loves learning new things. If you catch her in the pub she speaks Russian and German with ease while in Downward Facing Dog.
